One language, several honest execution paths.
SS is a general-purpose, statically checked programming language for ordinary software, scientific computing, and engineering work. The same validated program model supports interpreted, native, and managed execution.
A familiar beginning
Language V1 uses ordinary source files, checked types, functions, arrays, control flow, modules, packages, and explicit diagnostics. Beginners and advanced users work with the same language semantics.
let marks = [75, 82, 91, 88]
let average = (marks[0] + marks[1] + marks[2] + marks[3]) / 4.0
print("Average:", average)Execution paths
Backends consume the same validated semantic representation and must reject unsupported programs instead of silently substituting another backend.
Interpreter
Run SS programs directly after the same language checks used when building an application.
Windows x64 native
Produce standalone native executables for the demonstrated Windows x64 target without requiring .NET at runtime.
Managed CIL
Emit ordinary .NET assemblies with portable source mapping for managed applications and libraries.
General purpose, with scientific foundations
Language foundations
Nominal types, generics, collections, checked arithmetic, files, JSON, networking, deterministic resource scopes, exceptions, asynchronous work, testing, modules, and versioned packages are part of the implemented language surface.
Scientific foundations
Physical quantities and units, dense and sparse numerical structures, automatic differentiation, numerical solvers, engineering packages, visualization, and inspectable execution are documented and tested within their stated limits.
Evidence boundary
Windows x64 has been tested on Windows hardware. Linux x64 and macOS ARM64 builds exist, but have not yet been tested on physical machines running those operating systems.
